Two wins in four days for Viola

Following Fiorentina’s 2-1 win away at Guingamp in France, the Viola put four goals past Cagliari on Sunday in Serie A.

In France, Marcos featured for the last 20 minutes, with Marko Marin and Elhadji Babacar on the scoresheet early on. The win means that Fiorentina will finish top of UEFA Europa League Group K and qualify for the next round with just one group game left.

Back in domestic action, Matias Fernandez putting Fiorentina two-nil ahead against Cagliari with a brace. Mario Gomez & Juan Cuardrado added to the goal tally to wrap up all three points for the Viola, the second win in succession for the side.

“It was a hard game but it was great to get a second win in a row (in the league),” said Marcos. “Now time to face Juventus at home. We can’t wait to see how the stadium looks on Friday. Now its time to rest and get ready. See you on Friday.”
