Sixth straight win sends Chelsea top
Chelsea moved to top of the Premier League table on Sunday when a tenth goal of the season for Diego Costa saw off Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the game about Chelsea’s good form, Alonso commented:
“I have enjoyed it a lot but it’s important we keep on like this. The season is long and we’ve achieved nothing yet.”
“We have to keep working hard to keep the results as they have been in the last few league games.”
Alonso scored his first goal for Chelsea before the International break, in the teams’ win over Everton.
“I enjoyed the goal a lot, I had a couple of chances before so I was happy to get that one and now hopefully I will be able to get a few more before the end of the season.”
