Sevilla up next as Viola progress
Fiorentina completed a quarter final victory in the Europa League with a 2-0 home win in the second leg over Ukraine side Dynamo Kiev.
The tie was finely balanced going into the second game after a late Babacar strike had given the Viola a 1-1 scoreline and a vital away goal. On the night it was Mario Gomez and Juan Vargas with the goals that put Fiorentina into the Europa League semi finals with a 3-1 aggregate victory.
The Semi Final final draw set up a tantalising tie with holders Sevilla over two legs and a return to his native Spain for Marcos. The draw also separated the two Italian sides left in and so an all-Italian final is still a potential.
The Europa League semi final games will be played in Seville on 7th May and Florence on 14th May. Fellow Italians Napoli will play Dnipro in the other semi final.
