Marcos preparing for new season
Marcos and his Bolton Wanderers team-mates returned home last week from their trip to Scotland in preparation for the brand new season.
Marcos got his own pre-season off to a great start with a goal in the opening fixture versus Ayr Utd. Marcos was given a 45 minute run-out in the second game against Hamilton, and came off the bench for the last half hour of the match versus Falkirk on Wednesday night.
On Saturday, Bolton returned to action in England with a 1-1 draw with Crewe. Marcos played a full 90 minutes and was switched to centre-half to cover the injured Zat Knight.
‘We’re all itching to get minutes under our belts to add that match sharpness to the fitness work we’ve been doing. It was good to feature in each of the games so far and we are looking forward to our final pre-season matches ahead of the start of the season.’ Said Marcos A.
‘I am fairly happy with how I have played in each of the games, I just need to keep pushing to cement a starting place. I am feeling really fresh and ready to go.’
