Marcos on first Premier League goal
Marcos scored his first goal in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday in Bolton’s 3-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers. With the game on a knife edge at 1-1, Marcos reacted quickest in front of goal to give the Trotters a 2-1 lead and send them on their way to victory.
‘I am so happy to have scored my first goal in English football in front of the fans and more importantly get a massive three points. The game was a six-pointer and made even more important with Wigan and QPR winning.’ Said the goal-scoring left-back.
‘That’s the third win on the bounce against teams below us in the table and we have a real feeling of momentum now. The supporters were incredible, singing throughout the game. We have four home and four away games left and we will be looking to get the maximum amount of points out of the remaining matches for the fans.’
Bolton host Fulham at the Reebok Stadium this Saturday before the away trip to Newcastle on Monday.
