Marcos on Europa League success
Marcos’ Fiorentina side have qualified for the knock-out stages of the Europa League after their win on Thursday over Romanian side Pandurii Targu-Jiu.
The Viola top Group E with 12 points and will now play in the next round in February, Marcos has started every game in the group stages so far, with the side winning all four games.
“I’ve settled in really well and it’s great to have played in every game in the Europa League group matches,” said Marcos, who moved to Italy from England in July. “We have won all the games which has been great and we will be doing all we can to finish the group off in style. Then we’ll look forward to the draw.”
“The team is playing some good football in the league and wins against Milan and Juventus in recent weeks have shown our progress.”
“We are working hard as a group and I have really enjoyed my time here so far.”
Fiorentina play Sampdoria on Sunday in an evening kick-off.
