Injury update: Marcos making good progress
Marcos Alonso flew back into England on Sunday after the squad were given a couple of days off for the International break. Marcos though has been working hard in England and Spain to get back fit and after a gym session this morning has had an x-ray on his broken foot this afternoon.
‘I am doing all I can to get back as soon as possible the scan this afternoon came out all clear and the doctor said I am making really good progress. I have started running now and hopefully I will be back in full training with the squad in one to two weeks.’ Said the young Spaniard.
‘I have had a lot of messages of support on Twitter which is great. We have great fans and I am itching to get back playing to help the team. It is a local derby on Saturday against Wigan and it could be the game to kick-start our season.’
Bolton travel to Wigan Athletic this weekend in a crunch game at the foot of the Barclays Premier League.
