Bolton beat West Ham in emphatic style this afternoon, Daniel Sturridge scoring either side of a Chung Yong Lee header to give Wanderers a 3-0 win. Marcos played a full 90 minutes in his first Premier League start at the Reebok Stadium. It was an impressive performance from the Spanish star with a clean sheet at the back and always a willing option going forward.
After the match, speaking to www.bwfc.co.uk, Marcos commented:
‘I think it’s been my best game since I came to Bolton. I’m very happy for that and the three points. It’s a good way to start here at the Reebok, winning 3-0 against West Ham and playing that way.’
‘I now just have to keep working hard and to improve myself.’
The result gives Bolton a timely boost ahead of their FA Cup Semi Final match against Stoke next weekend.
