First game of pre-season
Marcos was on the scoresheet for Bolton Wanderers in their first match of pre-season against Ayr United up in Scotland.
The Super Whites drew 1-1 with their Scottish opponents with Wanderers giving the majority of players 45 minutes. Marcos played the second-half and linked up well with Gregg Wylde who was making his debut in a white shirt. Soon the pressure told and Marcos put Bolton in the lead after he drove into the box and got the return pass from Tom Eaves, driving home past the Ayr goalkeeper.
‘It’s always nice to get back playing in match action after the summer break. We have been working hard in training and so to pull on the white shirt again felt good.’ Said Marcos.
‘It was nice to score but these games are about getting match fitness and sharpness.’
Bolton are back in action on Saturday when they play Hamilton Academical.
