Fiorentina back to winning ways
Fiorentina returned to winning ways on Sunday as they overcame Palermo 4-3 in Florence.
The Viola has previously lost ground with a 1-0 defeat to Parma after a five-game unbeaten run, but it was a different story this weekend.
Manuel Pasqual put the Viola one up with José Basanta adding a second on 51 minutes. A brace from Palermo substitute Robin Quaison drew the Sicilians level before Juan Cuadrado restored the Fiorentina advantage and a wander goal from Joaquín on 74 secured the points. A late penalty from Palermo’s Andrea Belotti proved to be a consolation.
“It’s good to be winning again and great to see the team back playing nice football in the first half,” Marcos A commented. “Now it’s time to keep up the hard work to get another win on Sunday against Chievo in Verona.”
