Alonso thanks fans for their support
Bolton Wanderers were left wondering what could have been on Saturday as their draw with Blackpool meant they missed out on a play-off place to Leicester City.
‘It’s the same sad feeling as end of last season, we have done a great second part of the season but we should have started earlier. But we now have to start looking forward to next season.’ Said Marcos.
‘Today we had a great come-back after the poor start but in the second half we were not good enough to win the game. Blackpool played the final of the play-offs last year and they have played well.’
The game was Bolton’s last of the season and Marcos Alonso took the opportunity to thank for the fans for their support.
‘Finally I have to thank the fans, not just for today’s support but for the whole season. It was great to see the Reebok full and I am just really disappointed that we didn’t make it to the play-offs. But I am sure that next year the team will bounce back to the Premier League. Dougie is a great manager and I have to thank him too.’
‘It’s time to rest now and get ready for next season. I hope you all have a good summer.’
