
Alonso called up to Spain squad!
Marcos Alonso has been named in the senior Spanish squad for the first time ahead of their upcoming friendly matches against Germany and Argentina in the international break.
The Chelsea wing-back represented Spain at both Under-19 and Under-18 level earlier in his career, he’s been a regular starter for Antonio Conte’s side this season, scoring seven goals for the Blues.
Alonso impressed playing in the Champions League at Barcelona in the week, he was an important member of the Premier League title winning side last time out.
Spain’s game against Germany takes place in Dusseldorf next Friday, with the match against Argentina scheduled for Tuesday 27 March in Madrid.
